I teach one & two day workshops and classes for up to 3 students in my South London studio. I offer a range of introductory and advanced classes using polymer clay.

1. The Ripple Effect – Using just 3 colours and a little black and white we’ll make a multi coloured ripple effect pattern.  We’ll use these stunning ric rac wavy designs to make unique beads and pendants.

 

2. Extrusions Galore – This workshop is all about exploring the exciting ways of using the extruder tool.  A ‘must have’ for your tool box.  We’ll use the smallest to the largest extruder tool and experiment with the different dies and ways of using colour to make unusual beads.

 

3. Big Beads, Hollow Beads – This workshop is what it says, big beads and hollow beads.  We’ll make big, stunning, in-your-face sort of beads that will get you noticed yet are as light as a feather to wear –well almost!

4. Feathered Features – If you love the feathered end papers of old books you’ll love this simple-to-make adaptation to polymer clay.   These decorative patterns make beautiful beads and pendants.

 

5. Millefiori Cane Making – In this workshop you will learn how easy it is to make flower and leaf canes and the different ways a complex kaleidoscope cane can be achieved.

 

6. The Inside Story – This workshop is great as it’s always a surprise to cut into a chunk of multi coloured polymer to reveal the design inside. I’ll show you several ways to design these to create unexpectedly beautiful beads

7. Taster Day – If you’ve wanted to try polymer or played with it years ago, this class is perfect for you.   I’ll take you through the basics and show you several simple but effective bead making techniques.  This workshop will give you the confidence to create your own wonderful beads and pendants.

 

8. Chop & Change In this workshop we’ll make zig zag patterned sheets of polymer using a quick and easy technique.  Think of Bargello and patchwork patterns but these patterns will be in polymer.

 

9. Beaux Bangles – These bangles are made entirely of polymer.  Start by making a bangle base, then creating a decorative veneer and finishing it to a professional standard.  You’ll want to show off your bangle by shaking hands with everyone!.

10. Pen Making – In this day long workshop you’ll make a beautiful pen that you’ll be careful not to lose

 

11. Frayed Denim and Ikat – Here are two workshops in one!  Textile meets polymer.

 

12. Faux Techniques – There are so many natural materials that polymer can mimic perfectly such as coral, amber and lapis lazuli to name a few.

13. Mica Magic– Create patterns in these metallic mica clays that appear 3 dimensional, almost holographic but are totally flat.

 

 

14. Bull’s Eye Bonanza – The Bull’s Eye cane will be the starting point from which to create many different designs and patterned veneers of polymer for all sorts of beads, pendants and bangles.

 

15. Start to Finish – Learn how to give your polymer pieces that professional touch - a beautiful finish.

There are many ways of finishing your work to achieve matt, satin and glossy finishes.  I’ll show you how to achieve all these including antique effects using simple tools and materials.
